Creating Parent CapEx Project

Click Capital Expenditure à Create New. The New page appears.

Refer to the following table and fill in the details:

Field

Description

Project Name

The name of the CapEx project.

Bid Region

The bid region where the CapEx project belongs to. This drop-down list contains the list of active bid regions. The bid regions appearing here are created in Setup à Bid Regions.

Expiration Date

Select the expiry date of the CapEx project from the date picker. Users can select the expiry date 365 days in advance from the current date.

Budget Amount

The total allocated budget amount for the project.

Override Account Number

The account number from which all the expenses for the project is incurred. Select the override account number from the list of active chart of accounts drop-down list.

Project Description

Description of the project. Users can enter up to 2,500 characters. This is an optional field.

Add Parent Project

Users can select the current project as child project by enabling this flag as Yes. By default, this flag remains disabled. When enabled, the Parent Project field is displayed. This is an optional field.

Parent Project

This option appears if the Add Parent Project flag is enabled. Select the parent project from the drop-down list. When a parent project is selected the following information is displayed:

  • Parent Project Uncommitted Amount - the parent CapEx project uncommitted amount is auto-filled in this field. This is a read-only field.

  • Parent Project Expiration Date - the parent project expiry date is auto-filled in this field. This is a read-only field.

  • Parent Project Description - the parent project description. This is a read-only field.

Click Create. The created capital expenditure project appears under the Capital Projects section on the Capital Expenditure page.
